NOTES

Charleston Offshore Fishing

Charleston Harbor - Charleston, SC

It was a long, tough day on the water out of Charleston, SC, but the final hour made it all worthwhile, as we managed to pull off a "hat trick." The day started slow, but persistence paid off with a solid mix of species by the end. We caught one Mahi, a pair of Wahoo, one Tuna, and a Kingfish, all of which are highly sought-after pelagic species in these waters. The Wahoo, known for their speed and strength, made for some exciting fights, while the Mahi and Tuna provided their own challenges. The Kingfish rounded out our pelagic haul, adding another notch to the day's success. Mid-day, we switched tactics and did a bit of bottom fishing, which proved fruitful. We hooked into a Scamp Grouper and some Amberjack, both of which put up a strong fight. Despite the challenging conditions throughout the day, it was a rewarding trip with a nice variety of catches, and the last hour really made all the hard work worthwhile.
